Playin' With My Friends
This advert is pretty old now as it was aired by Swedish furniture company Ikea in October 2012 promoting the December party season - but to me it feels timeless.
I Love the concept and how the kids have been styled in colours depicting their oversized toy partners!
I'm a massive fan of the retro palette trend that I feel like I'm seeing everywhere at the moment, particularly in music videos. The palette in this ad is a mix of bright and mid-tone shades of powder blue, hot pink, citrus green and mustard yellow.

Anorak Magazine
I have recently subscribed to this beautifully illustrated children's magazine. Based in London independent publishing house Anorak Press launched in 2006 and publishes 4 issues a year for boys and girls aged between 6-12 year olds.
Each edition follows a different theme that also related to topics covered on the UK's National Curriculum. Filled with stories, craft ideas and colouring pages, Anorak aims to encourage kids (and big kids!) to use their imaginations, use creativity to learn and amplify their voices.
It's printed on recycled and printed with vegetable ink making it environmentally kind. This happy mag has me really happy!

New York illustrator Samia Kallidis designed Chloe's Magic Box with 45 children in a homeless shelter in the bronx in mind. Chloe's Magic Box is an art kit that includes a written and illustrated colouring book and art supplies.
